Leisurely rides and tours for the whole family
Enjoy a magnificent panorama on two wheels
For a leisurely ride, we recommend the asphalt road into the Zug valley to the Spullersee lake. A true "must" is also the route to the nearby Formarinsee, which is one of the most beautiful places in Austria and will inevitably amaze you with its unmatched natural scenery. With a total riding time of 3 hours across easy terrain, this tour is also suitable with children.
If you want to avoid busy roads, you will definitely feel at home on the 25-kilometre route around the Karhorn. The entire distance is made up of forest and hiking trails, which is best tackled on an e-mountain bike.
Challenging routes and summit experiences
Focus is on variety and individuality
The extended loop from Lech around the Spullersee lake is ideal for cyclists who want to test their stamina. Once rounded, the route leads from the lake alternately over gravel roads and forest paths to the Stierlochjoch and back to the starting point in Lech. With its crystal-clear water and the towering mountains around the lake, you are fully immersed in the natural beauty of the Vorarlberg.
For those who want to reach the summit on two wheels, we recommend climbing the Kriegerhorn by bike. The gravelled route takes you uphill to the summit, where it opens up a magnificent view of the entire Lech panorama.
For particularly motivated athletes, we can recommend one of the numerous Bike+Hike tours across the Zug valley. The tour takes you by bike to the starting point of the subsequent hike. This combination also allows you to reach places (e.g. Wartherhorn and Widderstein) that are not accessible by bike alone to squeeze even more out of your stay. Contact Lech/Zürs Tourism offices for further details and suggestions.
Special trails for that extra shot of adrenaline
Over hill and dale at high speeds
If you’re looking to move at speed downhill, you'll get your money's worth in Oberlech. The Burgwald Trail is one of the most popular routes in the region. The lift takes you and your bike to Oberlech. For this route we recommend a classic Downhill or Fully mountain bike - e-bikes are more suitable for other routes. Once you have reached the top, you can choose the difficulty of your descent to Lech. Blue is suitable for more cautious bikers, while the red trail appeals to more experienced riders.
Special attractions round off the descent: individual sections of the trail change to the so-called North Shore style. This describes the change from the classic trail to an obstacle course with jumps (road gaps) and tricky passages. Narrow, steep turns round off this section and give the Burgwald Trail its appeal for trail sports afficionados.
