Retail salesperson
Whether skiing, cycling or mountain sports: as an apprentice in the retail sector for sporting goods, you will be trained as an expert when it comes to the best equipment and clothing for your clients' favorite sport. During your three years of training, you will be taught all the important and relevant things you need to know. You will get to know the different departments and experience first-hand what it means to work "Strolz-like".
All sporting goods retailers work closely in a team with their colleagues and supervisors and have direct customer contact as well as regular contact with professionals from other departments.
Sports equipment specialist
As an apprentice sports equipment specialist, you will learn, among other things, how to carry out a targeted needs assessment with our customers as you explain modern technical terms when necessary. Furthermore, we will show you how to adjust and adapt sports articles and sports equipment, taking into account physical conditions such as height and weight. During the three years, you will be trained as an expert so that you can service, repair and assemble sports equipment. Your colleagues will show you how to check, maintain and repair equipment. Be it skis, bicycles or other materials, it's important to be familiar with correct care and maintenance needs.
As a sports equipment specialist you are responsible for all technical work related to sports equipment of all kinds, for customer consultation and sales.

Mattias Jug is the first apprentice to complete the training as technical sports equipment specialist at the Arlberg region at Sport & Mode Strolz.
